Phyllis A. Chesnut

Phyllis A. Chesnut, age 83, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2024 at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper, Indiana. She was born on June 05, 1940 in Brazil, Indiana, the daughter of Harold and Margaret (Burkhardt) Boes. She married Harold E. Chesnut in 1958, and he preceded her in death on November 17, 2023.

Phyllis was a housewife.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; one brother, Harold Boes; one step-brother, Frances Kalanquin; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.

Survivors include one son, Bret Chesnut and wife, Vicki of Shoals, Indiana; three daughters, Crissy Martin and husband, Thomas of Gurley, Alabama, Dana Wood and husband, John of Montgomery, Indiana, and Rainee Webster and husband, Matt of Sumner, Illinois; one brother, Donald Boes of Washington, Indiana; two step-sisters, Mary Jane Goodwin and Barbara Killion both of Washington, Indiana; 15 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be conducted at a later date. Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois is in charge of the arrangements.
