Philip Greene

Biography Philip R. "Phil" Greene, 68, of Lawrenceville, IL passed away Wednesday April 2, 2014 at his residence. He was born January 18, 1946, in Lawrenceville, IL the son of George E. and Virginia Alice (Satterfield) Bach. On May 25, 1963, he married Shirley Perring. She survives. Phil worked as a mechanic and truck driver all of his life. Along with his wife, he is survived by his mother: Virginia Alice Bach of Lawrenceville, IL, a son: Dwayne and his wife Theresa Greene of Lawrenceville, IL, a daughter Misty and her husband Lonny Bellville of Lawrenceville, IL, a brother Matt and his wife Susan Bach of Lawrenceville, IL, three sisters: Joanne Greene of Kentland, IN, Debi and her husband Phil Fish of Lawrenceville, IL, Louie and her husband Charlie Ferguson of Flat Rock, IL, nine grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father and two sons: Tony Greene and Cory Greene. The funeral will be 12:00 (noon) Friday April 4, 2014 at Pleasant Ridge Christian Church (old Brookside School in Pinkstaff) with Reverend Phil Young officiating. Burial will follow at Lawrenceville City Cemetery. Visitation is also Friday from 10-12 at the church. Memorial donations may be given to the family.
