Penny Howder

Penny Seitzinger Howder, 50, of Lawrenceville, IL passed away Thursday December 29, 2011 at her residence, after having fought a courageous battle with cancer for 3-1/2 years. She was born April 25, 1961, in Vincennes, IN, the daughter of Harold Seitzinger and Nancy (Seed) Seitzinger, surviving, of Lawrenceville, IL. Penny was married to Doug Howder of Lawrenceville on April 16, 1983, and he survives. Penny was a supervisor at Golden Rule Insurance, currently United Health Care, and was a member of Central Christian Church in Lawrenceville. Survivors include two daughters, Ashlee (Brian) Branstetter of Fayetteville, NC and Lacee Howder of Lawrenceville; one brother Roger Seitzinger of Jacksonville, IL; and one granddaughter Kherington Branstetter of Fayetteville, NC. Funeral service will be at 12:00 noon on Saturday at Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceville City Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
