Peggy Jane Medlin

Peggy Medlin, 85, of Bridgeport, Illinois, passed away Saturday, August 3, 2013 at Lawrence County Memorial Hospital. She was born December 26, 1927 in Sumner, IL the daughter of Glen and Daisy (Moore) Harris. She was married April 15, 1946 to Walter Lee Medlin and he preceded her in death on July 1, 1993. Survivors include a son: Michael (Brenda) Lee Medlin of Gray,TN , two daughters: Ann (Mike) Sears of Liberty, KY. Glenna (Joel) Thompson of Hazel, KY. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren and 9 greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother and two sisters. Peggy was a homemaker, a member of First Christian Church in Bridgeport, IL, a member of VFW Aux., American Legion Aux. and guest of the Elks. Funeral services will be Tuesday afternoon 1:00 p.m. at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday 11:00 a.m. till service hour of 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Sumner City Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made as donor's choice.
