Pauline Imogene Gray, 96, of Bridgeport, Illinois, passed away Sunday, February 19, 2017 at the Lawrence County Memorial Hospital in Lawrenceville, Illinois. She was born July 21, 1920 in Petty Township, Illinois, the daughter of Jake and Estella (Stevenson) Greer. She married Henry William Gray on December 24, 1938 and he preceded her in death on February 21, 2003.
Pauline was a homemaker; and also worked at Sperry's Variety Store, Bridgeport Wholesale for 25 years, and Suttle Apparatus. She was a member of the Petrolia United Methodist Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Henry; two brothers, Harold Greer and Marlin Greer; and two sisters, Reba Westall and Virginia Vandermark.
Survivors include her son, Bill Gray and wife, Cathy, of Bridgeport, Illinois; daughter, Diana Gray of Lawrenceville, Illinois; five grandchildren, Andrea Creswell, Traci Gray, Billy Gray, Suzanne Jordan, and Michelle Steckler; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at 1:00 PM at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Cresthaven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Petrolia United Methodist Church or to the Alzheimer's Association.
