Paul J. Nead

Paul J. Nead, age 89, of Lawrenceville, Illinois, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2013, at United Methodist Village-North Campus. He was born August 2, 1923, in Gibson County, Indiana, the son of Franklin and Bessie (Niles) Nead. He married Barbara Rose on April 16, 2005, and she survives. Paul was a self-employed carpenter. He also worked for Golden Rule and retired as a carpenter for Unit #20 School District. Paul was a member of the Free Methodist Church in Lawrenceville. Preceding Paul in death were his parents, two brothers and seven sisters. Besides his wife, other survivors include a daughter, Lynda K. Bullock of Highland, NC; grandson Jeff Bullock and wife Angela Kim of Asheville, NC; sisters-in-law Ruth (Grant) Fields, Lois (Bill) McClane, and Marjorie Stoneberger; nieces Sandra Harvey, Sue Mahrenholz, Nancy (Dick) Ramey, Peggy (Rick) Kuykendall, Pam Kiser, and Sarah Gillium; nephews Franklin Harvey and wife Julie Nuttall, John (Kathy) Plough, Jim (Karen) Nead, Melvin (Jan) Nead, Michael (Linda) McClane and Fred (Becky) McClane, along with several great and great-great nieces and nephews and many close friends Funeral services will be 2 PM Wednesday at Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, IL. Visitation will be from 12 Noon until the hour of service at 2 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lawrenceville City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the International Child Care Ministries (ICCM) with envelopes available through the funeral home.
