Pat VanFossen, age 73 of Lawrenceville, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at Lawrence County Memorial Hospital in Lawrenceville. She was born March 27, 1938 in Springfield, IL the daughter of Leo and Stella (Spangler) Brassie. She married Bob VanFossen June 6, 1959 and he survives.
Pat was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter Michelle VanFossen who died in 2001.
Survivors include her husband Bob, two sons Dennis VanFossen and friend Mindy Bowling of Mooresville, IN and Michael VanFossen and friend Bobby Tillery of Redwood City, CA; one daughter Diana Corry and husband Bill of Dundas, IL; two sisters Freida Foster and Juanita Brassie both of Olney, IL, seven grandchildren Jed VanFossen, Quintin VanFossen, Lacey DeMaire, Kalebb VanFossen, Kylie Corry, Skylar Hampton, Logan Corry, and three great-grandchildren Elaine Layman, Tristyn DeMaire, and Kinsi VanFossen Smith.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday at Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Olney.
Visitation will be Monday from 9:00 a.m. till the hour of service at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southeastern Illinois with envelopes available at the funeral home.
