Patricia “Pat” Lucille Adams, age 87, of St. Francisville, Illinois passed away on Friday, June 19, 2026 at Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation at Mt. Carmel, Illinois. She was born on November 23, 1938 in Lawrence County, Illinois, the daughter of Owen E. Newlin and Grace Corbin Newlin. She married Leon Adams on September 3, 1955 and he preceded her in death on December 6, 1995.

Pat was employed in housekeeping at Red Hill Nursing Home, Deewood, and Burgin Manor, where she was known for her strong work ethic and dedication. She was a faithful member of the Free Methodist Church in St. Francisville, Illinois. Pat found joy in collecting owls and photographs, and she took great pride in planting and caring for her rose bushes. She dearly loved her beloved dogs, Peanut and Hooch, who brought her much companionship over the years. Above all, Pat treasured her family, and nothing brought her greater happiness than spending time with her children, grandchildren, and loved ones, who remained the center of her life.

Preceding Pat in death were her parents; one son, John Robert Adams; one daughter, Cheryl Ammon; five brothers, Everette Newlin, Bobby Jack Newlin, Bill Newlin, Ralph Newlin, and Jerry Newlin; two sisters, Dorothy McDaniel and Betty Ochlert.

Survivors include her son, Russell and Karen Adams of Sumner, Illinois; one son-in-law, Dennis (Kathy) Ammon, rural Lawrenceville; seven grandchildren, Dewey (Candy) Adams, Jacee (Brandon) Rhinehart, Tamara Ammon (companion Josh Rodrick), Jana Adams, Charlie (Stephanie) Ammon, Nathan Adams, and Carmen (Jacob) Milam; 14 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at 3:00 PM at Sivert-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Sumner, Illinois. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Sumner City Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Lawrence County Humane Society, American Cancer Society, or to the American Heart Association.
