Patricia Jean Deckard, age 70, of Bridgeport, Illinois, passed away on Monday, January 27, 2025 at Aperion Care in Bridgeport, Illinois. She was born on May 13, 1954 in Lawrence County, Illinois, the daughter of Coen and Margriete (Ridgley) Reed.
Patty worked as a CNA at the United Methodist Village and cleaned houses. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Bridgeport. Her hobbies included doing arts and crafts and crocheting blankets and house slippers.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; and one brother, Jerry Reed.
Survivors include two daughters, Betty Burden and husband, Larry of Vincennes, Indiana and Kathy Godfrey and husband, Paul of Lawrenceville, Illinois; two brothers, Thomas Reed of Willow Hill, Illinois and Bill Reed of Olney, Illinois; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be conducted on Thursday, January 30, 2025 at 10:00 AM CST at the May Chapel Cemetery. Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois is in charge of the arrangements.
