Patricia Ann Bowen

Patricia Ann Bowen, 80, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at Whatcom Hospice in Bellingham, Washington. She was born February 7, 1937 in Lawrenceville, Illinois, the daughter of Coen and Cleo (Wright) Inyart. She married Loy Edgar Bowen on January 3, 1960 and he survives. Patricia was a 1954 graduate of Sumner High School. She worked at the International Shoe Company and the Ainsbrook Garment Factory both in Olney, Illinois; and later as an Assistant Manager at Dollar General in Newton for nine years. She played the piano, accordion, and sang for many local revivals and churches. She started playing and singing at a very young age and continued for most of her life. She passed her love of music on to her children and grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents; one brother, Ralph Inyart; and one infant granddaughter. Survivors include her husband, Loy; three children, Galen Loy Bowen and wife, Tresa, of Flora, Illinois, Rhonda Sue Curtis and husband, Steve, of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Jonathan Mark Bowen and wife, Michelle, of Bellingham, Washington; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 11:00 AM CST at the Sivert-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Sumner, Illinois. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM CST. Burial will be in the Sumner Cemetery.
