Oren Miles

Oren Miles, 88, of Olney, Illinois passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Select Specialty Hospital in Evansville, Indiana. He was born March 4, 1929 in Bond Township, Illinois, the son of Leslie Lee and Mary Maude (Sprenger) Miles. He married Lynda E. Foltz on May 28, 1977 and she preceded him in death on October 5, 2000. Oren was very active with exploration for petroleum, where he owned his own business. He also served in the United States Military. Preceding him in death were his parents and his wife, Lynda. Survivors include his son, Oren Miles II; one sister, Mary Jeffers; and one grandchild, Isaiah Miles. Private services were conducted. Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois is in charge of the arrangements.
