Norman Wayne Schlanker

Norman Wayne Schlanker, age 79, of Lawrenceville passed away October 6, 2010 at his residence. He was born September 29, 1931 in Highhill, MO the son of George E. and Minnie Lea (Davidson) Schlanker. He married Patricia Gay, December 31, 1958 and she survives.Wayne was a terminal manager for Lease Way Transportation until retirement and had worked as a pharmaceutical representative for McKesson-Robbins out of St. Louis. He was an Army veteran, as well as a member of the Elks and Lawrence County Country Club.He was preceded in death by a step-son Michael McDowell and one brother Kenneth Schlanker.Survivors include his wife Pat of Lawrenceville; one daughter Holly Gay Ingram of rural Lawrenceville; one brother Artie W. Schlanker of Brentwood, MO; and two grandchildren.Funeral services will be Saturday at 2:00 pm at Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, IL.Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home.Burial will be in Lawrenceville City Cemetery.Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Lawrence County Humane Society with envelopes available through the funeral home.
