Norman Bailey

Norman G. Bailey, Sr., age 80, of Lawrenceville, IL passed away Friday, December 14, 2012 at his residence. He was born January 10, 1932 in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, the son of Horace and Hazel (Crandle) Bailey. Norman was a millwright machinist until retirement. He was a veteran, having served in the United States Marines. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. Norman had a special love for his animals. Norman was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Alberta Kanull, and one grandchild. Survivors include one son, Norman Bailey, Jr. (Paula) of Lawrenceville, IL; two daughters Karen Hott of Jacksonville, FL and Judy Strong of Paris, TN; one brother Bruce Bailey of Pittsfield, MA; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Friends may gather at the home of Norman Bailey, Jr. at 410 State Street, Lawrenceville, IL, Thursday evening, December 20, 2012 at 6:00 pm for a time of sharing and celebration of the life of Norman Bailey, Sr.
