Norma J. Shidler

Norma J. Shidler age 83 of rural Lawrenceville, Illinois died Sunday, September 04, 2011 at the Lawrence Community Healthcare. She was born July 19, 1928 in Lawrence County, Illinois the daughter of Ben and May (Drake) Smith. She married Donald R. Shidler August 20, 1948 and he preceded her in death August 29, 1992. Norma was a homemaker and a member of the Fairview United Methodist Church. Norma is survived by two sons: Vic and wife Suzy Shidler of rural Sumner, IL., Jeff and wife Nicole Shidler of rural Lawrenceville, IL., Three daughters: Kathy and husband Robert Boldrey of Olney, IL, Donna and husband Randy Roosevelt of Clay City, IL. and Nancy Greentree of rural Lawrenceville, IL She is also survived by two brothers, four sisters, ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Norma was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter Becky Gulledge, and one grandchild. The funeral will be Wednesday morning 11:00 a.m. at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, IL. Visitation will be Wednesday morning 10:00 a.m. till the service hour of 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in the Whitehouse Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in Norma's honor to the Shop With A Cop.
