Neil Brown

Neil L. Brown, 79, of Paoli, Indiana, passed away June 26, 2016 at his residence. He was born September 20, 1936 in Lawrence County, Illinois, the son of Paul and Leona (Cornwell) Brown. He was married to his first wife, Clara Judy Brown, from 1955 until her death in 1997. He then later married Marsha Ruddell Brown and she survives. Neil was a truck driver and was self-employed. He served his country as a U.S. Airforce Veteran in Korea. He was a member of the Senior Citizens Dance club in Mitchell, Indiana. Preceding Neil in death were his parents; his first wife; and two sons, Derek Brown and Ronnie Brown. Survivors include his wife, Marsha; daughter, Sherry Ridao and husband David of Petersburg, Indiana; two brothers, Terry Michael Brown and wife Valerie of Vincennes, Indiana and Sharrell Max Brown and wife Helen of Decker, Indiana; two sisters, Janice Sue Campbell of Vincennes, Indiana and Linda Kay Parr and husband Luke of Greenup, Illinois; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Marsha Brown of Lincoln, Nebraska. Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at 1:00 PM CST at the Emmons-Macey and Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Visitation will be Wednesday from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM CST at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Cresthaven Memorial Park, with military rights by the VFW and the American Legion.
