Nancy C. Salesman

Nancy C. (Adams) Salesman, age 84, of Plainfield, Indiana, passed away peacefully Sunday, January 07, 2024 in Carbondale, Illinois. She was born August 28, 1939 in Fort Branch, Indiana, the daughter of Floyd and Deloris (Hayden) Adams. She married Carl Salesman, and he preceded her in death.

Nancy was a loving and caring registered nurse, and a member of the Deaconess Registered Nurses Alumni since 1960. She and her husband, Carl, owned Stilesville Implement Auction from 1984 until 1998. Her memberships include the Moose, Elks, and VFW Auxiliary.

Preceding her in death were her parents; step father, ‘Dutch’ Wallace Crown; and husband, Carl.

Survivors include her daughters, Teri Davis and Jana Haley; sister, Janice Fry and her two sons and their families; two grandchildren, Dakota (Jake) Marks and Terence Whitten; and two great-grandchildren, Madelyn and Hudson Marks.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, January 11, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Visitation will be Thursday from 12:00 p.m. until the service hour of 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Lawrenceville City Cemetery.
