Nancy June Eagleson

Nancy June Bennett Eagleson, age 71, of Lawrenceville passed away January 12, 2011 at Lawrence County Memorial Hospital. She was born June 4, 1939 in Lawrence County, Illinois, the daughter of Randolph Bennett and Thelma Quick Stevens, and she currently resides in Lawrenceville, IL. She was preceded in death by her father; first husband, James Bennett; and half brother Paul Bruce Bennett.Nancy was a homemaker and had worked at at various places: Suttle Apparatus; Headstart; and the Methodist Village.She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary; The Moose Lodge of Vincennes, IN; and Thursday Thumper Bowling League. Survivors include three sons: J. Michael (Anifeld Q.) Bennett of Richmond, Texas, David Bennett of Houston, Texas, and Ryan (Sarah) Bennett of Springfield, Illinois; three daughters Brenda Updike of Flat Rock, Illinois, Kathy (Tim) Tipton of Katy, Texas and Carol Cookson of Lawrenceville, Illinois; three brothers Larry (Donna) Bennett of Los Angeles, California, Wendell (Vicki) Stevens of Lawrenceville, Illinois, and Jeff (Gina) Stevens of Lawrenceville, Illinois; one sister Jean (Louis) Brown of rural Flat Rock, Illinois; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, IL, with burial in May Chapel Cemetery.Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.Memorial donations may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 10801 Pear Tree Lane, Ste. 110, St. Louis, MO 63074, Attn: Christine Eifert, in loving memory of Nancy J.
