Monna Marie Porter, age 83, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at the United Methodist Village in Lawrenceville, Illinois. She was born on August 04, 1937 in Birds, Illinois, the daughter of Leo Lawrence and Flossie (Cummins) Lackey.
Monna was a 1955 Lawrenceville High School graduate. She worked for General Telephone, Indiana Bell, and AT&T, as well as the Senior Citizens. Her and her mother owned and operated Ada Lee’s Candy for a number of years. She was a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and a Gold Star Member of the American Legion. Her hobbies included camping, fishing, mushroom hunting, quilting, crocheting, and reading.
Preceding her in death were her parents and one brother, Ronnie Lackey.
Survivors include her daughter, Angela Hedrick and husband, Chris of St. Francisville, Illinois and two nephews, Rory Lackey and wife, Lisa and Scott Lackey and wife, Lisa.

Burial will be in the Lawrenceville City Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Francisville Christian Church.
