Miriam B. Tillery

Miriam B. Tillery, 92, of Lawrenceville, IL passed away Sunday December 14, 2008 at lawrence Community Healthcare in Bridgeport, IL.She was born January 25, 1916 in Albion, IL the daughter of Obed and Belle (Gillard) Barnes. On July 4, 1937 she married Jerry Otis Tillery. He preceded her in death on June 27, 1976.Miriam had worked at the Knox County Treasurers Office. She also worked as an Executive Secretary for Golden Rule for 18 years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She was also a member of the Eastern Star and the Bridge Club.She is survived by 2 sons: Jerry Tillery of Wilsonville, OR, John Tillery of Waxahachie, TX, 3 daughters: Nancy Fox of Lawrenceville, IL, Miriam Ruble of Vincennes, IN, Helen Foster of Bridgeport, IL, 13 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren. 4 brothers and 3 sisters are deceased.There will be a Graveside Service Friday at 11:00am at the Lawrenceville City Cemetery. There is no visitation.Memorial donations may be given to the First Presbyterian Church.
