Michael 'Mike' J. Curts

Michael ‘Mike’ J. Curts, age 79, of Bridgeport, Illinois passed away on Saturday, March 20, 2021 in Warner Robins, Georgia. He was born on May 07, 1941 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the son of Frank S. and Mary (Diver) Curts. He married Carole J. Ridgely on November 10, 1961, and she preceded him in death on February 07, 2010.

Mike retired from the oilfield as a well treater. His memberships included the St. Lawrence Catholic Church and the Sons of American Legion.

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife; and nephew, Brandon Smith.

Survivors include two sons, Joe Curts and wife, Lisa of Sumner, Illinois and Terry Curts of Bridgeport, Illinois; two daughters, Tina Dunkin and husband, Chuck of Warner Robins, Georgia and Michele Fleck and husband, Marc of Vincennes, Indiana; one sister, Jane Smith of Bridgeport, Illinois; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Mike’s wishes were to be cremated and no formal services conducted. Burial will be in the Bridgeport City Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Red Hill Unit 10 Sports Program at 1250 Judy Avenue, Bridgeport, IL 62417. Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois is in charge of the arrangements.
