Michael Forsythe

Michael Forsythe, 59, of rural Sumner, IL passed away June 20, 2009 at his daughter's residence after a courageous battle with cancer.  He was born March 27, 1950 in Richland County, IL the son of Norval and Eleanor L. (Legg) Forsythe.Mike worked as a pumper in the oilfields.Survivors include his father, Norval Forsythe of Sumner; one son, Michael W. Forsythe, of Sumner; one daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Joe Beard of Robinson; one brother, John David Forsythe, of Sumner; two sisters, Diana Moore of Smackover, AR and Susie Weatherly of Port Orange, FL; and five grandchildren.Mike was preceded in death by his mother and one sister, Jennifer.The visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at the Sivert-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in  Sumner, IL.Funeral services will begin at 11:00 am Tuesday at the funeral home.Burial will be in the Sumner Cemetery.Memorials may be made to the Good Samaritan Hospice with envelopes available through the funeral home.
