Michael C. Dozard

Michael C. Dozard, age 65, of Lawrenceville, Illinois, passed away Monday, December 22, 2014 at his residence. He was born April 5, 1949, in Peoria, Illinois, the son of Leonard Joseph Carl Dozard and Dorothy (Bruce) Dozard Hutchinson. He married Luella Coy and she survives. Michael had worked at Roadmaster. He was a Son of the American Legion. Preceding Michael in death were his father, two sons Richard Plowman and James Plowman, two brothers Leonard Dozard and Dickie Dozard, and one niece Melody Rae Hones. Survivors include his mother, Dorothy Hutchinson of Peoria; his wife, Luella Dozard, of Lawrenceville; four sons Steven Plowman and John Plowman both of Lawrenceville and Terry Plowman and Joey Plowman both of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; two daughters Shirley Plowman of Lawrenceville and Paula Kesler of Texas; five brothers Ricky Dean (Joy) Dozard, Steven (Gina) Dozard, David Dozard, Gary Dozard, and Robin Dozard all of Peoria and four sisters Diane Dozard, Melody (Bill) Hones, Elaine Stickelmyer and Rose Kelly all of Peoria. Funeral services will be at 11 AM Friday at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 AM Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in May Chapel Cemetery.
