Michael C. Baker

Michael C. Baker, Sr. age 65, of Sumner, Illinois, passed away Sunday, August 24, 2014 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Indiana. He was born March 28, 1949, in Granite City, Illinois, the son of Coy Finney and Georgia Marie (Yankee) Baker. He married Lisa Nelson in 1992 and she survives. Michael's parents preceded him in death. Survivors include: his wife, Lisa Baker of Sumner; three sons, Mike Baker, Jr. of Missouri, Randy Baker of Illinois, and Joshua (Sabrina) Baker of Bridgeport; one daughter, Melanie Baker of Illinois; one brother Timothy Baker of Indiana and two grandchildren. Michael worked in janitorial services and as a handyman until his retirement. There will be no formal services. Sivert-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
