Melvin Myrle Mahin

Melvin Myrle Mahin, 53, of Centralia, Illinois passed away Monday, December 31, 2018 at St. Mary's Hospital in Centralia, Illinois. He was born September 15, 1965 in Sioux City, Iowa, the son of Fred Myrle Mahin, Sr. and Carroll Sue (Claycomb) Mahin. Melvin was a handy man at a sheltered workshop. He was a member of the Wesleyan Church, Illinois District. Preceding him in death was his mother, Carroll and one sister, Cinda Sue Lewis. Survivors include his father, Fred of Lawrenceville, Illinois; one brother, Fred Myrle Mahin, Jr. of Aurora, Indiana; and three sisters, Brenda Sue Nesler of Vincennes, Indiana, Glenda Lee Rotramel of West Frankfort, Illinois, and Linda Jean Patton of Indiana. Melvin's wishes were to be cremated. Private graveside services will be conducted at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Lawrenceville Senior Citizens. Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois is in charge of the arrangements.
