Maxine Shelton

A. Maxine Shelton, 81, of Sumner, IL passed away Sunday October 30, 2011 at her residence. She was born March 22, 1930 in Billett, IL the daughter of Hershel Jeff and Goldie Parilde (Medlin) Shelton. Maxine had worked at The Spot Café in Lawrenceville for 30 years. She also worked at Pine Lawn Nursing Home in Sumner and retired in 1992. She was a member of the Wesleyan Church in Lawrenceville. She is survived by a son: Bruce and his wife Yvonne Shelton of Lawrenceville, IL, a grandson: Adam Shelton of Oklahoma City, OK, four brothers:: Lloyd A. Shelton of Lawrenceville, IL, Ed L. Shelton of Santa Claus, IN, Lewis E. Shelton of Lawrenceville, IL, Terry L. Shelton of Bridgeport, IL, six sisters: Wanda Belcher of Hammond, IN, Barbara Darnold of Bridgeport, IL, Wilma Schroyer of Flat Rock, IL, Sharon Weiss of Sumner, IL, Linda Redell of Hammond, IN, and Debbie Blockland of Hammond, IN. One sister is deceased. A Graveside Service will be conducted Monday November 7, 2011 at 2:00pm at Pollard Cemetery. There is no visitation. Memorial donations may be given to the American Cancer Society.
