Max L. Martin, 62, of Sumner passed away Thursday morning, December 28, 2006 at his residence. He was born January 25, 1944 to Paul M. Martin and Lorene Like Martin. He married Laura Smither Martin on April 29, 1971 and she survives. One son, Ralph Ward, of Harrodsburg, KY and one daughter, Denise Morris, of Olive Branch, Mississippi also survive.The funeral will be on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the Sivert-Macey-Steffey Funeral Home in Sumner. Visitation will be Saturday from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the White House Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the family.
