Mary I. Wilson, age 90, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away on Friday, October 30, 2020 at the United Methodist Village in Lawrenceville, Illinois. She was born on November 30, 1929 in Pinkstaff, Illinois, the daughter of Carter Allison and Alma Gladys (McCarty) Crouch. She married Wilmer ‘Porky’ L. Wilson on September 08, 1950, and he preceded her in death on May 17, 2010.

Mary was a homemaker, as well as a Girl Scout/Camp Fire Leader. She was a very active member of Central Christian Church, and a member of TOPS. She volunteered with Red Cross Blood Mobile, Sign of the Kingdom East, and Kids Shopping Day. She was the 2015 WAKO Mother of the Year, an election judge, as well as a seamstress, gardener, and cook. Together with her husband, Wilmer, they traveled all of the 50 states.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; four brothers, Carter Crouch, Jr., Clifford Crouch, Wilbur Crouch, and Arthur Crouch; one sister, Thelma Bridge; and two sons-in-law, Darrell Fisher and Artie Akers.

Survivors include four daughters, Linda Fisher, Peggy Akers, Judy Hutchinson and husband, Randy, and Jill Deckard and significant other, Bob Bedwell all of Lawrenceville, Illinois; one brother-in-law, Wynn Bridge of Bristol, Illinois; eight grandchildren, Carmen Rains, Kevin Fisher, Keith Fisher, Kimberly Fisher, April Ritter, Dustin Akers, Robert Hutchinson, and Brianne Deckard; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild on the way.

Private services will be conducted, and may be viewed on Wednesday, November 04, 2020 at 11:00 AM with the following link: https://www.facebook.com/Emmons-Macey-Steffey-Funeral-Home-Burial-Cremation-Services-241234759332208/ . Burial will be in the Lawrenceville City Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the United Methodist Village, Central Christian Church, or Good Samaritan Hospice.
