Mary K. Watkins

Mary K. (Wolfe) Watkins age 89, of Lawrenceville, Illinois, died Friday, October 26, 2012 at the Glenburn Home in Linton, In. She was born in Lawrenceville, Il. on February 28, 1923 and was the daughter of Joseph and Rosetta ( Taylor) Wolfe. She married Cecil Watkins on February 04, 1946 and he preceded her in death on June 29,1990 after forty-four years of marriage. Mary is survived by one son Ronald (Marsha) Brown of Linton, In., one daughter Sandra (John) Lefler of Evansville, In. Surviving grandchildren: Randall ( Sue) Brown, Kathryn (Tim) Haywood, Robert (Ann) Brown, Richard(Michelle) Brown, Rhonda Brown, Scott (Angela) Lefler, Julie (Rich) Thompson, Jason (Cindy) Walton, Katie (Greg) Elliott. Twenty-three Great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren also survive. Mary is survived by two brothers, Jim (Alice) Wolfe and Kent Wolfe both of Lawrenceville, Il. Three sisters Martha Hawley of Wy., Barbara Blanchard of Ky. and Patricia (Philip) Hardy of Fla. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five brothers and two sisters. Mary was a homemaker and member of the Free Methodist church in Lawrenceville. Mary loved singing, playing the piano and being with her family. Funeral services will be Tuesday afternoon 1:00 p.m. at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. till the service hour of 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Lawrenceville City Cemetery.
