Mary Jane Siddens

Mary Jane Siddens-Nickens, 81, passed way Saturday October 10, 2009 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, IN.She was born October 17, 1927 in Harvey, IL the daughter of Charles Edward and Elsie (Kelly) Proctor.She was a Psychologist and had her own private practice for many years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Lawrenceville, IL. She was a member of Mensa. She skipped the second grade and went directly to the third grade. She wrote the words and the music for the school song for Eldorado High School. She finished her Doctorate at the age of 58. She worked her internship at Menninger Clinic in Topeka, KS. She worked with Autistic Children. She also enjoyed playing the piano.Survivors include two sons: Bill Siddens of Lawrenceville, IL, Dr. David Siddens of Olney, IL, 5 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.Her body is being cremated. A Memorial Service will be conducted at a later date.
