Mary J Seed, 83, of Lawrenceville, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at the United Methodist Village-North Campus in Lawrenceville, Illinois. She was born on April 7, 1933 in Litchfield, Illinois to Hull and Wanda (Ferguson) McPhail. She was married Everett ‘Buck' Seed and he preceded her in death.
Mary was a CNA at the United Methodist Village in Lawrenceville, Illinois, as well as an activities director at the Sumner Nursing Home. She attended the Billett United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Bill Wheeler and Jim Wheeler both of California; three step-daughters, Vicky Butler and Marty (Jerry) Robinson all of Lawrenceville, Illinois, and Jeanne (Virgil) Jerrell of Flat Rock, Illinois; as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Preceding Mary in death were her husband; two sisters; a step-son, Danny Seed; a step-daughter, Carol Schaeffer; and a step-grandchild, JD Robinson.
Graveside services will be Thursday, June 2 at 10:00 AM at the Lawrenceville City Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Memorial donations in Mary's honor may be made to the Lawrenceville Senior Citizens Center.
