Mary E. Jackman

Mary E. Jackman, age 84, of rural Sumner, IL passed away Monday, January 31, 2011 at her residence. She was born June 20, 1926 in Richland County, IL the daughter of Claude E. and Daisey O. (Nesler) Edmondson. She married Harold R. Jackman May 27, 1946 to whom she was married for 64+ years, and he survives.Mary was a member of Ste. Marie Pilgrim Holiness Church. She was a homemaker and a preachers wife for 47 years. Survivors include her husband Harold of rural Sumner; three sons Larry R. Jackman and wife Ruth Ann of rural Sumner, Stephen D. Jackman and wife Sue of rural Lawrenceville and Ronald P. Jackman and wife Dinah of rural Sumner; three daughters Carol J. Jackman of Sumner, Sharon K Black and husband Glenn of Lexington, KY, Esther M. DeVall and husband Dan of Toledo, IL; two brothers Edward Edmondson of Olney, IL and Paul Ivan Edmondson of Mt. Carmel; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday at Sivert-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Sumner.Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 8 pm and Friday from 12:00 noon until the service hour at the funeral home.Burial will be in Sumner Cemetery.Memorials may be made to Pilgrim Holiness Camp Ground Fund or to Good Samaritan Hospice with envelopes available at the funeral home.
