Mary C Davisson

Mary C. Davisson, age 88, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away on Wednesday, August 05, 2020 at the United Methodist Village in Lawrenceville, Illinois. She was born on December 22, 1931 in Lawrence County, Illinois, the daughter of Elmer and Mae (Lockhart) Seitzinger. She married Lawrence Davisson and he preceded her in death in 1966.

Mary worked at Suttle Apparatus, Lawrenceville Industries, and Addus Home Healthcare. She enjoyed crocheting blankets and throws for other people, as well as cooking for her family, grandchildren, and neighborhood children. She was a member of the Bridgeport Moose and the American Legion.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; two sons, Brian Davisson and Lawrence Davisson, Jr.; eight brothers, Don, Chuck, Max, Leonard, Dale, Howard, Elmer, and Bill Seitzinger; five sisters, Doris Dunning, Jean Grindle, Ethel Bennett, Bonnie Seitzinger, and Thelma Seitzinger; and one granddaughter, Erica Bootman.

Survivors include her three children, Danny (Vanessa) Davisson of Fountain Hills, Arizona, Marci Gariepy of Lawrenceville, Illinois, and Sherry (Steve Cates) Bootman of Flora, Illinois; eight grandchildren, Shawn Davisson, Shea (Shane) Klein, Andrea (Ryan) McCoy, Daniel Davisson, Elena (Kevin) Long, Mary (Angela) Davisson, Jenni (Alex) Green, and Stevie (Jerod) Balko; and five great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be conducted on Saturday, August 08, 2020 at 11:00 AM at the May Chapel Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Lawrenceville Senior Citizens Center. Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois is in charge of the arrangements.
