Mary Louise Cunningham, 80, of Lawrenceville, IL passed away January 4, 2010 at Lawrence County Memorial Hospital. Born September 8, 1929 in Lawrenceville, IL she was the daughter of Lawrence and Gladys (Kelly) Litherland. She married Tom L. Cunningham August 18, 1950 and he preceded her in death.Mary was a homemaker and a bookkeeper for Stillwell and Wright. She was a member of the First Christian Church and a member of the Elks Ladies Lunch Party.Survivors include three sons Kenneth Jay Cunningham of West Palm Beach Gardens, FL; James Alan Cunningham of Youngsville,LA and Danny Thomas Cunningham of Lawrenceville, IL; one brother Lawrence Litherland, Jr of Collins, MI; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two sisters.Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Friday at Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, IL. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceville City Cemetery.Friends may call Friday from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the funeral home.Memorials may be made to the Lawrence Township Library or the First Christian Church.
