Martha Henry

Martha Henry, age 96, of Lawrenceville, IL passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2013, at Lawrence Community Health Care Center in Bridgeport. She was born April 15, 1916, to John and Nellie Mae (Carroll) Bennett. Martha worked as a cook and waitress at the Spot Café in Lawrenceville for many years. Preceding Martha in death were her first husband Wilbur Grove and her second husband Guy Henry, two sons Billy J. Grove and James R. Henry, one brother Paul Bennett, and two sisters Becky and Ethel. Survivors include one son Raymond and Barb Grove of Lawrenceville, one daughter-in-law Suzanne Grove of Lawrenceville, one sister Kate Jones of Sumner, three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. There will be no visitation. A public graveside service will be held at 12:00 noon Sunday at Whitehouse Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Lawrence Community Health Care Center.
