Marjorie Anne Reed

Marjorie Anne Reed, age 83, of Greenville, IL (formerly of Lawrenceville) passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at Oliver C. Anderson Hospital in Maryville. Born November 5, 1926 in Lawrenceville, IL she was the daughter of Oran Solon Calvert and Edna Camilla ( Monjar ) Calvert. She married Paul W. Reed July 3, 1945 and he died March 24, 2006.Marjorie was a piano teacher for 41 years until retirement. She was a member of the Free Methodist Church in Lawrenceville, IL and a life member of Womens Ministries International.Survivors include two sons John Paul Reed and wife Jennifer of Greenville; Richard Oran Reed and wife Bonnie of Duncanville, TX; one daughter Judith Camilla Anne Diver and husband Tom of Olney; three brothers Marvin Oran Calvert and wife Sue of Picayune, Mississippi, Thomas Edwin Calvert and wife Grace of Lawrenceville, and David Windsor Calvert and wife Jerry of Schertz, Texas; nine grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday at Lawrenceville Free Methodist Church.Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until the hour of service at 2:00 pm at the church.Burial will be in Lawrenceville City Cemetery.Memorials may be made to Lawrenceville Free Methodist Church, 1107-10th Street, Lawrenceville, IL 62439 or Greenville Free Methodist Church, 1367 Illinois State Route 140, Greenville, IL 62246.
