Margaret Brown

Margaret A. Brown,71, of Bridgeport, IL., passed away on Saturday, January 12,2013 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, IN. She was born on October 26, 1941 in Knox County, Indiana to Ed Collins and Martha Lucille Gardner Stone.; she was raised by George Stone. She married Edward Brown on July 29, 1961 and he passed away on August 7, 2002. Margaret was a homemaker and she attended Allendale Methodist Church. She was a member of VFW Auxiliary. and enjoyed playing bingo. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter; Alice Brown, 2 brothers; Henry Abel and George Stone, one sister; Barbara Stinnet. Survivors include her companion; Rick Holscher of Vincennes, IN., daughters; Ruthie (Kelly) Halter of rural Lawrenceville, Georgetta (Michael) Earnest of Bridgeport, IL, and Becky (Jeff) Shick of rural Lawrenceville, IL; one brother, James Abel of Vincennes, IN, five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday January 15, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home. Visitation is from 11:00 AM until service time on Tuesday. Burial is in the May Chapel Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to a local food bank or for funeral expenses; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
