Margaret Ackman, age 88, of Lawrenceville, IL, passed away Thursday, June 19, 2014, at the Aperion Nursing Home in Bridgeport, IL.
Margaret was born December 24, 1925, in Lake County, IL, the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Szabo) Krutilla.
She retired from Munster Community Hospital in Munster, IN where she worked in medical billing. She was a member of the Otterbein Methodist Church.
She is survived by two sons: David Ackman of Illinois, and Daniel Ackman of Newport, NY, a daughter: Susan Kasinger of Billett, IL, five grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Along with her parents, a grandson, a brother and two sisters are deceased.
Funeral services will be Monday at 1:00pm at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home. Visitation is also Monday from 12 Noon until the service hour of 1:00pm. Burial will be at the Billett Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be given to the Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children or to the Disabled American Veterans.
