Mabel B. Brian

Mabel B. Brian, age 91, of Sumner, Illinois, passed away Friday, March 15, 2013, at her residence. She was born August 9, 1921, in Washington, Illinois, the daughter of Andrew and Leva Matilda (Seaman) Saye. Mabel was a member of the Central Christian Church in Sumner. She worked 10 years at the Sumner Nursing Home and at AMF for 14 years. Mabel was also a homemaker. She was a member of the Royal Neighbors. Preceding Mabel in death were her parents, two sisters, Arlene and Mary, and one great-great-grandchild. Survivors include her children, Linda Phillips of Bridgeport, David (Betty) Brian of Sumner, Sandra Cooper of Sumner, Ed (Deanna) Brian of rural Lawrenceville, Bill (Margaret) Brian of rural Sumner, Jess (Joan) Brian of Sumner, one brother Andrew Saye of Bridgeport, two sisters Donnetta Carney of Tilton, and Joy Mowrer of Lawrenceville, 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11 AM Tuesday at Sivert-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Sumner. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 PM Monday evening at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sumner Cemetery.
