Lucy Genevieve Sharum, 89 of Lawrenceville passed away Sunday September 27, 2009 at Lawrence County Memorial Hospital.She was born March 18, 1920 in St. Francisville, IL the daughter of Asa Joseph and Gertrude Anna (Neumann) Jones. On April 16, 1947 she married Gerald Alva Sharum. He precedes her in death.She is survived by 5 daughters: Marian Annette Sinclair of Indianapolis, IN, Marjorie Irene Sharum of St. Louis, MO, Dorthy J. Shoulders of Lawrenceville, IL, Alice Lorrain Sharum of Las Vegas, NV, Donna Sylvester of Lawrenceville, IL, 5 sons: Donald Eugene Sharum of Smyrna, TN, Bernard Lee Sharum of Tullahoma, TN, Carroll Vincent Sharum of Alexandria, IN, Stephen Mark Sharum of  Deer park, TX, William Isaac Davis of Princeton, IN, 20 grandchildren, 1 step-grandchild, and several great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents Gertrude and Asa Jones; her husband Gerald Alva Sharum; one son Joseph Sharum; and three grandchildren.She was a housewife and worked at Meisner's Factory in Mt. Carmel, IL during WWII. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in St. Francisville, IL.A Mass will be celebrated Thursday October 1, 2009 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church at 10:00am with burial to follow at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday from 5:00 until 7:00pm at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, ILMemorial donations may be given to St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
