Louise M. "Weezie" Sechrest, age 78, of Vincennes, IN (formerly of Lawrenceville), passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, IN. She was born July 10, 1934, the daughter of George and Garnet (Lindsay) Seitzinger.
Louise was a member of Community United Methodist Church in Vincennes, IN, where she served with the Mary Martha's, the United Methodist Women's Group and was a long time teacher of the Crusader's Club.
Louise began her working career taking depositions for Samuel Taylor, Attorney and Philip Lewis, Attorney. She then worked at Pinkstaff Elevator and later worked for Texaco Refinery and Indian Refinery as an Engineer's Assistant. Louise also worked for various businesses including Lawrence County Industrial Council, Sigeco, Bierhaus, H & R Block and Decker Backhoe Service.
Louise is survived by one son, Mark Butcher of rural Flat Rock, IL; three daughters, Janet Woods (William) of New Port Richey, FL, Vicki Brink (John) of Lawrenceville, IL, and Deana Grooms (Kenneth) of Booneville, IN; one brother, Rex Seitzinger (Sue) of Lawrenceville, IL; 12 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Two nephews also survive.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 PM (IL time) Saturday at Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, IL.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 pm (IL time) Sunday at Community United Methodist Church in Vincennes, IN with visitation from 12:00 noon until the hour of service at 1:30 (IL time) at the church.
Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery in Russell Township, east of Birds, IL.
Memorials may be made to CUMC Memorial Fund or Myasthenia Gravis National Foundation.
