Loren Dowty

Loren Dowty, 79, of Sumner, IL passed away Tuesday December 24, 2012 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN. He was born February 5, 1933 in Richland County, IL the son of Wilbert and Beulah "Zelda" (Stadge) Dowty. Loren was self employed. He worked in the Landfill Business. He was also a Heavy Equipment operator. He had served in the United States Army. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Sumner. He is survived by three sons: Rick and his wife Claudia Dowty of Sumner, IL, Roger and his wife Cindy Dowty of Bridgeport, IL, Randy and his wife Susie Dowty of Sumner, IL, four grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren The funeral will be Thursday at 11:00am at the Sivert-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home with visitation from 10:00 until the service hour of 11:00.
