Lola Gasperik

Biography Lola G. Gasperik, age 86, of Sumner, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at United Methodist Village-North Campus. She was born January 15, 1927, in Lawrence County, Illinois, the daughter of Arthur Garfield and Phoebe Kathryn (Shidler) Cessna. She married Richard Gasperik on July 6, 1951, and he died November 18, 2010. Lola worked at GTE in Olney and was a homemaker. Survivors include two daughters, Gayle (Jesse) Wyatt of Sumner and Linda Gasperik (Randy McClellan) of Bridgeport; three step-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. Lola was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Richard, six brothers and five sisters. The body is being cremated. Graveside services will be conducted Saturday July 6, 2013 at 10:00am at Petty Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Sivert-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Sumner. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
