Lois Marie Umfleet

Lois Marie Umfleet, 80, of Sumner passed away at her residence on Saturday, October 6, 2012. She was born December 24, 1931 in Lawrence County to Porter Collins and Mary (Bennett) Collins. Lois married Earl Umfleet on January 27, 1951 and he passed away on October 27, 2008. Lois was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two daughters, and a grandson. She is survived by daughters; Teresa (Tim) Parker of Bloomington, IN., Jeri May of Dieterich, IL., Darla Nicewander and Annie Kiser of Sumner, IL., and Susan (John) Farris of Springfield, OH.; brothers; Ed Collins of Flat Rock, IL., and Donald Collins of Palestine, IL., sisters; Pat Kasinger, Lynda Wilson, and Susan Franklin all of Palestine, IL., seventeen grandchildren, and thirty-two great-grandchildren, and several nephews and nieces. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 9, 2012 from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 pm at the Sivert-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Sumner, IL. Funeral Service will be Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the Sivert-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Sumner, IL. Burial will follow the service at Sumner City Cemetery.
