Lois J. Anderson, 83, of Lawrenceville, IL passed away Sunday, August 28, 2016 at Good Samaritan Hospice in Vincennes, IN. Born March 13, 1933 in Bridgeport, IL she was the daughter of Reverend John Edward and Bertina (Johnson) Wright. On April 19, 1957 she married Victor Anderson. He survives. Lois was a homemaker. She was a member of the St. James AME Church in Lawrenceville, IL where she served as the Youth Choir Director. She enjoyed crocheting and playing the piano. Along with her husband Victor, she is survived by two sons: John Anderson and his wife Martha of Vincennes, IN, Scott Anderson and his wife Darla of Lawrenceville, IL, a daughter: Tina Neeley and her husband Don of Lawrenceville, IL, son-in-law: Ronald Mahaffey of rural Lawrenceville, IL, seven grandchildren: John J. Anderson, Jacob Anderson, Janine Anderson, Megan Taylor, Morgan Stricklin, Haley Wanke, Austin Wanke, and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a daughter: Vici J. Mahaffey. The funeral will be Thursday at 12:00 Noon at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home. Visitation is also Thursday from 10:00 am until the service hour of 12:00 Noon. Burial will be at the Portee Cemetery. Memorial donations may be given to Good Samaritan Hospice or to the Davita Dialysis Unit.
