Lindsay R. Burrell, 67, of Lawrenceville, Illinois, passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at Good Samaritan Hospice. She was born July 9, 1948 in Lawrence County, Illinois, the daughter of Paul and Helen (Jackman) Burrell.
Lindsay retired from Golden Rule in 2007, after working there for 30 years as a first claims adjuster. She was a member of First Christian Church, where she served as Elder. She was a lifelong member of the Daughters of American Revolution and the Masonic Daughters of Eastern Star.
Preceding her in death were her parents.
Survivors include her sisters, Martha Fane of Lawrenceville, Illinois and Paula (Richard) Chess of Valparaiso, Indiana; her nephews, Douglas (Angela) Vandermollen, Steven Vandermollen, and Ross (Cristi) Fane all of Lawrenceville, Illinois; great-nieces, Hannah Vandermollen, and Margon Fane; and great-nephews, Douglas Vandermollen II and Lance and Christopher Fane.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 22 at 12:00 PM CST at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM CST at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Lawrenceville City Cemetery in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Memorial donations in Lindsay's honor may be made to the Daughters of Revolution.
