Linda Lou Potts

Linda Lou Potts, age 84, of Lawrenceville, Illinois, passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was born on February 29, 1940, the daughter of Raymond and Pansy (Bennett) Wampler. She married Thomas Potts on April 18, 1959, and he preceded her in death on March 24, 2012.

Linda worked at Kauffman Engineering. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, word searches, and spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchild.

Preceding her in death were her parents; three brothers, Gail Wampler, Lonnie Wampler, and Walter Wampler; two sisters, Norma Smith and Kate Higgins; two sons, Thomas W. Potts and Don Potts; one daughter, Nancy M. Potts; and one grandson, Jeremy Potts.

Survivors include one son, Larry Potts and wife, Bonita of Lawrenceville, Illinois; three brothers, Ronnie Wampler of Illinois, James Wampler of Illinois, and Lee Wampler of New Jersey; three sisters, Monna Ford of Texas, Donna Yarber of Indiana, and Thelma Gibson of Pennsylvania; two grandchildren, Jared Potts and wife, Katie and Charles Potts; and one great-grandchild, Bryce Potts.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at 1:00 PM CST at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM CST at the funeral home. Burial will be in the May Chapel Cemetery.
