Linda D. Hulfachor

Linda D. Hulfachor, age 76, of Sumner, Illinois, passed away on Monday, June 8, 2026, at her home. She was born on June 20, 1949, in Vincennes, Indiana, the daughter of Russell and Geraldine “Gerry” Aud Zehner. She married Jimmie Hulfachor April 2, 1966, and he survives.

Linda was a dedicated homemaker who devoted her life to caring for her family and home. She attended the Free Methodist Church in Sumner and found enjoyment in many simple pleasures throughout her life. Linda loved her children and grandchildren. Linda enjoyed crocheting, camping, and spending time with her beloved dog, Patches. She was rarely without a glass of sweet tea and had a special fondness for the color green. Linda enjoyed watching Days of Our Lives, western television programs, and participating in karaoke. She will be remembered for her caring nature and the joy she found in everyday life.

Preceding Linda in death were her parents.

Survivors include: husband, Jimmie; children, James Todd (Tracie Nash) Hulfachor of Sumner, Johnny Troy (Regina) Hulfachor of Sumner, Sonya (Kevin Noble) Hulfachor of Sumner; siblings, Kevon Zehner (Dr. Ron Ritchhart) of Sante Fe, New Mexico, Brenda (Charles) Fox of Ellettsville, Indiana; ten grandchildren, Shania (Curtis) Thacker, Sierra (D.J.) Hulfachor, Skyler (Ryla) Hulfachor, Whitney (Josh) Vandyke, Jessica (Lena) Hawkins, Wesley (Kendra Tracy) Hulfachor, Bradley (Megan) Hulfachor, Clinton (Heather) Nash, Allison (Tylor) Mathias, and Haley Alexander; twenty-one great-grandchildren.

Friends are invited for a time of visitation on Thursday, June 11, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Sivert-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Sumner, Illinois.
