Linda Archer

Linda Archer, 63, of Grapevine, TX (formerly of Lawrence County, IL) passed away Thursday, March 15, 2012. Linda was born on July 7, 1948 in Salem, IL to James and Winifred Lakin. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. Linda enjoyed cooking, spending time with her family and friends, helping through volunteer work or just someone who needed help as a friend. She was active with the Girl Scouts while her daughters were involved and volunteered for the Library. Linda worked for the Grapevine Convention Visitors Bureau for 20 years in various positions. Survivors include her husband, Ron Archer of Grapevine, TX; daughters Amy VanHook and husband David of Grapevine, TX, and Beth Livingston and husband Jeff of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren, Michael VanHook, Natalie VanHook, Lauren Livingston, and William Livingston; mother, Winnie Gay and husband Donald of Lawrenceville, IL; brothers, Eric Gay, Lawrenceville, IL, Tracy Gay and wife Amy, Vincennes, IN and Damon Gay and wife Lorraine, New Iberia, LA; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon, Tuesday June 12, 2012, Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home, Lawrenceville, IL. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
