Lawrence E. Johnson, 83, of Dallas, TX (formerly of Lawrenceville, IL), passed away Sunday, December 29, 2013, at the Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, TX.
He was born April 14, 1930, in Joliet, IL, the son of Edwin "Red" and Zelda R. Grant Johnson.
He was a graduate of Lawrenceville High School. He worked for IBM for 30 years as a computer engineer. He served in the United States Air Force.
Surviving are: a son: Scott Johnson of San Francisco, CA, two daughters: Dianne Keahbone and her husband, Cameron, of Corsicana, TX, Karen Jacot and her husband, Jeff, of Houston, TX, a brother: Allen Johnson of Dayton, OH, two grandsons: David McDill of Red Oak, TX, and Lyle Jacot of Houston, TX. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a son: Les Johnson.
A Graveside Service will be conducted Saturday at 11:30am at the Lawrenceville City Cemetery. Visitation is Saturday from 10:00 to 11:00am Saturday at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home.
