Lawrence A. Harbaugh, 84, of Sumner, IL passed away Saturday February 14, 2009 at Lawrence Community Healthcare Center in Bridgeport.He was born January 15, 1925 in Sumner, IL the son of Ira and Anna Bell (Palmer) Harbaugh. He was first married to Georgia Jean Moore on March 14, 2009. She died October 15, 2001. He then married Imogene "Jean" Waggoner. She died May 5, 2008.Lawrence was a retired Rural Postal Carrier for 30 years. He was also a barber. He was a member of the Sumner Congregational Christian Church where he served as Deacon. He was a member of IOOF in Olney, IL. He was a US Airforce Veteran of WWII.He is survived by a son: Lawrence A. "Larry" Harbaugh of Sumner, IL, a daughter: Debra and husband Bill Jeanswain of Sumner, IL, 2 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. 2 brothers and 2 sisters are deceased.The funeral will be Tuesday at 11:00am at the Sumner Congregational Christian Church. Burial will follow at Sumner Cemetery. Visitation is also Tuesday from 10:00 to the service hour of 11:00am.Memorials may be given to the church.
